Fun Day

A Fun Day will be held at the Bell Inn, Hillmorton, Rugby on Saturday 28th August. 12pm till 5pm.

Raffle, tombola, face painting etc.

Charity 5-A-Side Football Tournament

On Saturday 1st May a five a side football tournament was held at Ashlawn School in Rugby. The total amount raised on the day was £1400. Thank you to all the players, and everyone that came along to support us.

               

 


 

ACT for SMA Dinner Dance

The Ally Cadence Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy held their first annual Dinner Dance on Saturday 27th March 2010.

ACT for SMA is one of the four charities we support, along with Rainbows Childrens Hospice, Zoe's Place and the SMA Trust. We presented the Ally Cadence Trust with a cheque for £2,000 on the evening.

Quiz Night

The Alex Camwell Tribute Fund hosted its inaugural Charity Pub Quiz on Friday night, March 5th.

The event held at The Railway Club on Hillmorton Road was a massive success, raising a grand total of £2125 which will be split between 4 equally worthy charities; Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People, The SMA Trust, The Ally Cadence Trust for SMA & Zoe's Place Baby Hospice which is due to open in Coventry later this year.

A highly competitive quiz was eventually won by local team 'Only Smarties Have The Answer' who very kindly donated their £100 cash prize back to the charity.

In addition to the quiz The Alex Camwell Tribute Fund presented its first annual donations to both Rainbows & The SMA Trust with each receiving a cheque for the sum of £5000.

The Alex Camwell Tribute Fund would like to extend special thank you's to the following organisations for their superb support; The Railway Club, Lenoch Enginneering, Manor Printing, Tesco, H&K, DHL UK Foundation & DHL/Unity (Tesco Frozen).





Dinner Dance and Auction

On Friday 6th November 2009 we held our Dinner Dance/Auction at the Rugby Lions. We had many generous donations and the evening was a great success. The total raised was £3735. Thank you to everyone that supported us




The Alex Day

On Sunday 30th August a Charity Fun Day was held at the Hillmorton British Legion. There was a lot of support from local companies. There was a raffle with 35 prizes, a tombola, name the dog, guess how many sweets were in the pot (Hillmorton Post Office), bouncy castle (Bouncemania), indoor bowling (The Big Apple), stationary stall (Vow), cakes stall (Mr Kipling) and a BBQ with all the food donated by DHL.


The day was a huge success, with people winning a variety of prizes donated by various companies including Hasbro, Mattle, Mothercare, Boots, Jamesway Travel and many more.

The grand total for the day was £3,342.16
